Light Surf Series. Effortless Casting. Surprising Power.

The Suzuki Special Surf Series is Black Hole USA’s light surf series, built for anglers who want sensitivity, long casting with minimal effort, and a lightweight feel — all without sacrificing strength. Constructed with advanced nano carbon technology, the Suzuki Special is light in hand yet durable enough for both saltwater and freshwater fishing.

One of the biggest advantages of the Suzuki Special is how easily it casts. With its moderate‑fast action and light blank, you can achieve long‑range casting with very little force. There’s no need to power cast — the rod loads smoothly and sends lures far with minimal effort, making it ideal for long sessions on the beach, jetty, river, or lake.

Although designed for albies and other light‑to‑medium species, don’t let the lightweight fool you. In the hands of skilled anglers, this rod has landed big striped bass, GT, large halibut, and other powerful fish. The sensitive tip helps detect subtle bites, while the backbone provides enough strength to control fish far bigger than the rod’s rating suggests.

A favorite among light‑tackle surf experts, the Suzuki Special Surf Series delivers finesse, distance, and surprising power — all in a light, economical package.

Materials & Components:

  • Advanced Nano Carbon Construction
  • Sensitive Tip for precise bite detection
  • Strong Backbone for surprising lifting power
  • Korean Samyang Guides
  • Graphite Reel Seat
  • EVA Grip with Split Handle
  • Rubber Round End (No Gimbal)
  • 50/50 Split Design for easy travel
  • Models: 9'6" (3/4–3 oz, 20–30 lb) / 10' (1/2–2 oz, 10–20 lb) – Both Moderate‑Fast Action

Suzuki Special II 8'6" UL Surf Rod & Suzuki Special 9'6" Surf Rod Dear Black Hole,      As you can see, I'm no longer on the "spring chicken" side of life. Last Thursday at Clinton Lake (IL), I went down hard and slung my Kayaker rod into the lake, it's gone, bummer....acquired a few more injuries to brag about and the swelling/bruises to prove it...      Today was redemption at Lake Decatur (IL) spillway after work with my good friend and fishing buddy, Will. We both work 3rd shift and have the same days off (Class 1 Railroaders),  we both looked a tad rough.      This is the biggest Walleye of my life! Not wanting to put anymore stress on the old fish, we didn't measure or get a weight, released immediately after a few pics. Caught the Suzuki UL, 8' 6", 12 pound braid.      The small striper was caught on your Suzuki, 9' 6", 20 pound braid. This one was released too.      Your UL is one sweet rod! It's the closest in action and weight to my custom St. Coix rods. It's taken me 20+ yrs to find a rod that remotely matches in action and quality, as the rod builder passed yrs ago. Thank you all!
