Hit a nice little window of good action yesterday after work. Nothing to write home about. But, definitely fun after a long winter of not fishing as much as I normally do. All fish but one, were caught on the @blackholeusa Challenger Bank 701L. Great rod to throw a weightless rubber worm, and if you watch the video, you’ll see me working it like a top water, and they were all over it. Took about 45min. to find out what they wanted. Also got one fish on the new, freshwater “Hyper” 1/2oz-2oz. Also made by @blackholeusa. I’ve thrown chatterbaits, spinner baits, and top water on that rod. Very versatile!

The Ol’ Boys Best group of guys to fish with and so thankful to be a part of. Also so thankful for the entire crew of @thesandiego . @youngmateo @el_mike_estro and the rest of the crew. This doesn’t happen without them. And we all missed an Ol Boy original @fisherquigley on this one. All fish caught on @blackholeusa Challenger Bank 801MH. 30lb @fishseaguar green label fluoro. Another trip I’ll never forget. Had 2 stops for 8 fish in the morning. Where I was lucky enough to get 1. We searched for a very long time for zero sign of fish. Filled the time talking and joking round with the guys. Pulled up to a couple Bonito breezers around 2pm and we let them have it. Got a couple on the surface iron and couple on the stick bait. Poppers, knife jigs also getting bit for others. We were all ok with that being the last action we saw but it wasn’t 30 mins until @youngmateo had us on a school of bluefin that bit right off the bat and went nuts for us. It was absolute bluefin mayhem. Yelling, screaming, hooting and hollering and high five and fist bumps everywhere. Not to mention the deck covered in blood, just how we like it. Best daytime hit for any boat this season. @thesandiego does it again. From Dark ‘til Dark.
