10' STRIPED BASS SPECIAL SURF ROD
The magic was back with this big bull red from the jetty this past weekend, my first ever off the rocks. Every bit of gear performed at its best and all of it was necessary to land this fish. On top of that, had some amazing help from some of the friendly folks nearby to make sure this fish was landed and that I got to document the whole thing. Vented the fish and released it back for the next lucky angler. @blackholeusa Striped Bass Special 10’0 - Comfortable to cast all day long to make sure I still have some energy for a fight, even when it takes all morning to earn the bite @daiwausa BG 5000 @oceandevil_official PE4 @varivas_america 50# shock leader, holding up to some serious rock love and helping me keep a ton of pressure on this fish even when the line is looking like string cheese. FISH MANIC 80XH ROD
Landed a 38lb Bass on the Fish Manic 80XH Rod. The rod bent to the brim, and it was amazing. It had great backbone to the rod to pull the fish out from the under the boat. But it was also sensitive enough to feel the bite and see the bite. That's an amazing rod.

First off I have to thank @fishreeldeal and @bradyricee for helping pop my tuna cherry! While this is nowhere near the largest Atlantic Bluefin Tuna (Thunnus thynnus) it was a big moment for me! Ever since I was a kid I had always wanted to catch a species of tuna. However, recently I had become obsessed with catching fish on spinning gear. So I managed to catch my first tuna ever and it was on a spinning reel. Hopefully I can get some bigger ones in the future. Consistent day of quality fish on the fluke grounds yesterday. Chip got this 10.5lb doormat using the Black Hole Challenger 731M rod. Darrel with one of his 5 quality fluke he landed. On our way home we stopped and picked up 4 slot Stripers for the guys to take home!

ALLOY JIGGER NANO SLOW PITCH JIGGING 70-4 ROD
8+ pounds the bendo (Alloy Jigger Nano SPJ S-70-4 Rod) was fantastic. Haha everyone was really impressed how the fish dug down and the rod just inhaled it towards the middle part of the rod, didn’t need to do much but reel after it took drag. Can’t wait for bigger stuff. (Haven’t touched the Challenger Bank 701L Rod yet) haha

The most EPIC BITE happened to me on this last #PacificQueenKillers trip, like something from a fishing show! 100lb+ #BluefinTuna were frothing in the distance as we drifted with a few fish hanging on flyline. Suddenly, giants began appearing on the chum. Seeing massive swirls in casting range, I sprinted for my stickbait and spinning rod. Made a great cast past the boil. A quick rod jerk, a pause, an explosion, and BOOM... Fish on!! Then it was up to me and my gear. We all did our job and made it happen, end of story....#SpinningGameStrong . . COW SPECIAL 75 II BIG GAME POPPING ROD
Bluefin tuna under the blue sun! The start of the day is rather calm, the miles follow one another but not the chases, then suddenly "we're on top" First matte that bursts, then another and another.... We put 3 fish in the boat, already good but we ask for more! We do the extra fuel with the can near a flock of piafs while waiting for it to fart, and my god how it farted, a huge jacuzzy, we arrive on it, first cast and this glutton comes out of the water like a jaw to burst the urpekari 180! The fight starts with Paulo at the controls, the fish immediately seems more massive than the others, 20min of combat approaches the fish at 25m, and the hunt still hasn't subsided... First belay passed, Tim puts his arms still fresh to use, the fish rises to the surface once, we notice its size and then it takes back 30m, the morale takes a hit but we stay focused! 3rd belay, ditto, the fish goes up to 4-5m and starts again at 20....4th belay, same result. It was on the fifth that Paulo managed to block the fish in his tracks and prevented us from losing ground, 30 seconds later he broke through the box, lightning line and the beast was secured! Conclusion: a little more than 45min of fighting, 215x140 which gives us between 145 and 150kg according to the calculation tables.... Quick photo session and the fish leaves perfectly! An honourable performance for this fish which marks the 10th of a season that is off to a flying start!

ALLOY JIGGER NANO SLOW PITCH 70-4 ROD
This Alloy Jigger Nano SPJ S-70-4 Rod is unbelievable, very sensitive, took the hard head shakes. Of this big fluke no problem. The mod section of this rod is so parabolic in the best ways. Also used a 1/2 oz jig and jigged up really nice porgies which was a blast. Can’t wait to use for tog! It just might be better than the Challenger Bank 701L Rod. Let's see haha

CHALLENGER BANK III TRAVEL 703UL ROD
5 keepers on the 703UL. Amazing rod, super sensitive, plenty of backbone to get the tog out of their rocky habitat, but sensitive enough to feel the slightest bite. Truly fishes like a one-piece rod. It's amazing.

Another Nice One! This one was 103" and weight 618 lbs. Hook set was perfectin thee corner of his mouth which took me multiple attemps to get the hook out. Put 50 lbs of drag on him and had a dart in him and tied off in 35 minutes. With the Black Hole USA Giant Custom-built Trolling Rod.

ALLOY JIGGER NANO SLOW PITCH JIGGING 70-3 ROD
Weighting in at 13.9 oz when paired with a Daiwa Coastal 200. The strength to weight ratio is undeniable. Having used this rod throughout the Bass season I can say this rod is a BadAss. You can jig it all day, flutter spoon to verticle jigs, the rod is not gonna wear you out. Had to go to 10 oz sinker a few times and no worries. When it comes to strenght, I personally put a bendo on that rod that would have broke others. Versatily is another plus. I used it for all inshore fishing the northeast has, and it fit every application. I will be bringing it to the Pacific in 2025 for more abuse, Stayed tuned.

CHALLENGER BANK III TRAVEL 763M ROD
Just wrapped up five days jam-packed with big fish and great times in Panama with the folks over at @panafishing who gave my buddies and I an experience of a lifetime. I was grateful to have access to a line-up of @blackholeusa rental rods, and I brought my two travel rods; photoed is a nice jack caught by swimming the Panafishing name through a feeding frenzy using a BH Challenger Bank III Travel 763 Rod. I have lots of great reports on the fishing and Black Hole gear used throughout the trip which will come over the next few weeks. For now, my biggest thank yous go to Dereck and his amazing family and staff, who own and operate this lodge off the tuna coast of Panama. From start to finish they were welcoming, accommodating, and just a damn fun time. Every question was answered, every request was fulfilled, and every goal was accomplished. All without mentioning the fishing being absolutely world class. I am counting the days till I get to come back and relish this amazing place again!

Special fish this! PE2 monster Fight lasted about 30 min to land this GT on very light tackle. I spent another 15 min reviving this fish, but we got it done. A few spectators on shore were not very impressed with me releasing it but im glad I did.
