Our prostaff member Pernell shared his experience with the Magic Caster, East Coast Special, Striped Bass Special, and Surf II Series:

"So I finally got to field test the  East Coast Special M… Did exactly what I expected… This rod fills the gap between the Striped Bass (2-8oz) Surf  & my Cape Cod Surf II Heavy… It casts perfectly with 60-70g lures…sticks & poppers…I was casting directly into 10-15knot winds …but handled it good… Now I jus gotta hook something…but I expect nothing less from this rod…should pass the test with no issues… I am about to put the last coats of finish on the Magic Caster MH…so that should see some action by this weekend.

So I jus did a quick casting down at my local wharf with the MH Magic Caster…paired with a 2021 6000 Spheros sw with 30lb braid. I was casting mostly 30-40 g stickbaits & poppers…& for a test I put on a 60g Shimano orca hd…iIt handled it all perfectly… I really couldn’t get to test the maximum casting ability because of the area I was …but I can only imagine…this thing can sing these lures… Looking forward to putting a bendo on this rod!!

So I fished pretty hard this past 2 days…but nothing …but I really got to see what the Magic Caster can do… U guys named it appropriately …this thing can cast!!!.. The Xtra foot vs reg Suzuki makes a diff…since I’m using the same reel & lures…can’t wait to hook & fight something on it…& I can’t wait to build on the Magic Caster H…"

The Magic Caster Surf Blanks are available now in MH (1~3oz) and H (2~6oz). The factory-built rods are expected this fall.
