Ed had his first trip of the year and although he didn’t land his mystery fish on slow pitch jig after a 15-minute fight, he definitely got to put the Cape Cod Special Slow Pitch B-632H2MF Rod through its paces a bit more than usual. Running PE3.5 @taslinebraid and 40lb fluoro leader, it stood up well to what was likely a triple-digit shark or ray. Thanks to the comfort on the parabolic action of this rod, his @accuratefishing BV2-500N did all of the work for him and he was primed and ready for the next fight once the line chafed through. 

Later, he had a surprise catch of his first blacktip shark on artificial gear. The shark was thankfully released with a couple of scars and plenty of energy. As usual, the Cape Cod Special Slow Pitch B-632H2MF Rod got the job done with ease. Paired up with @accuratefishing BV2-500SPJ and @taslinebraid PE3.5, this setup does it all.
