Feedback on Black Hole USA Challenger Bank III Travel Series 763M Spinning Rod by #BlackHoleUSAProStaff Ed

Feedback by #BlackHoleUSAProStaff Ed @pescatosis from TX

The portability and versatility of my gear are some of the most important things I look for when purchasing. This rod is @blackholeusa answering my prayers. Happy to contribute to the announcement of the @blackholeusa Challenger Bank III series travel rod. This three-piece rod is something I was extremely eager to test, as I am skeptical of the strength of multi-piece rods under stress. I was ecstatic to find that there were no obvious limitations in this prototype model.

Throughout my testing, I made casts with lures from 1/2 ounce to 4 ounces and jigged at depths of 250 feet. I made an intentional effort to treat this rod-like any other, high-sticking smaller fish over the rails, running heavy drag, and making botched casts. I never felt the rod was weak or imbalanced. On lifting tests, the rod was parabolic and comfortable, handling 10 pounds of lift with ease. This is a rod you can use for casting to smaller pelagics, jigging for snapper, and all-purpose inshore fishing with full confidence, then pack down into a backpack for the next venture.

I am certainly hoping for more travel rod contributions from Black Hole soon considering the quality of this rod, and I will be making a post soon of how I do my best to care for multi-piece rods for longevity.
